An acorn-fed ham made in a High Mountain climate at an altitude of 1,400 meters in the province of Teruel, an ideal location for the natural curing of pork.
It comes from Iberian pigs raised in freedom and fed exclusively on acorns and wild herbs during the fattening stage.
The characteristics of "Casa Conejos" bellota ham are a golden fat on the outside and pinkish when it approaches the muscle. Intense flavor, great smoothness and fat that melts on the palate.
When buying acorn-fed Iberian ham , keep in mind that the ideal temperature for consumption is around 22ºC, at which time the slice expresses its best aromatic and taste properties.
